Description:
The Desert Furix Core Refinement Method enhances mana absorption, stealth, and thievery instincts. By refining Desert Furix cores, practitioners develop the ability to passively absorb ambient mana, move with heightened stealth, and sharpen their instincts for detecting magic.
Pathways:
Stage One: Phantom of the Dunes
To begin refinement, the practitioner must acquire and refine 15 Desert Furix cores. The cores must be infused into grinded into sand and consumed.
Path Options:
Path One: Mana Leech
Abilities & Effects:
Gains the ability to absorb ambient mana at a low passive rate.
Can steal 5% of an opponent’s mana per physical strike, once per turn.
Gradually increases mana regeneration speed over time.
Drawbacks:
Does not work against non-magical opponents.
Overuse of mana absorption may overload the user, causing mana instability.
Weaker base mana pool compared to other mana-based refinements.
Path Two: Phantom Step
Abilities & Effects:
Enhances stealth movement, making the user 50% quieter passively.
Gains low-light vision and night vision.
Can briefly suppress their presence for 3 turns, making detection harder.
Drawbacks:
Stealth abilities weaken in direct combat, making open fights harder.
High alert enemies or detection magic can still sense the user.
Path Three: Arcane Instincts
Abilities & Effects:
Gains an innate sense of magical objects, detecting them within a 20-meter radius.
Can slightly enhance the effects of magical items by 1.5x when in direct contact.
Reaction speed increases by 3x when dealing with magic-based attacks.
Drawbacks:
Instincts force the user toward magical sources, making them harder to ignore.
Weakened resistance to illusion magic.
Path Four: Trickster’s Guile
Abilities & Effects:
Gains the ability to slightly misdirect enemy attention, causing subtle mental confusion.
Enhances reflexes, 3x speed boost when dodging an attack.
Increases sleight-of-hand abilities, making pickpocketing or object manipulation easier.
Drawbacks:
Misdirection does not work on creatures immune to mental effects.
