C - The Crimson Bear Technique

Name: The Crimson Bear Technique

Technique Power Ranking: C

Description: The Crimson Bear Technique channels the raw strength, endurance, and ferocity of the crimson bear, a creature revered for its unmatched resilience and overwhelming power. Practitioners of this technique must actively hunt progressively stronger bear-like creatures, absorbing their strength and essence to embody the crimson bear’s might.

Pathways:

Stage One: To master the first stage, the practitioner must hunt and kill 10 Normal-ranked bear-like creatures, harvesting their essence by collecting their claws and crafting a potion infused with their blood and claws. The potion must be consumed to initiate the transformation.

Bonus: Physical strength and durability increase by 1.5x, granting the ability to endure heavier hits and strike with more force.

Backlash: Extended physical exertion leads to severe muscle fatigue.

Stage Two: The practitioner must track and kill 5 F-ranked bears and 5 F-ranked forest-dwelling creatures. After collecting their blood, they must create a potion to drink under the light of a bright day.

Bonus: Physical durability increases to 2x, and the practitioner gains resistance to blunt force attacks. Their strength improves further, allowing them to lift and carry significantly heavier loads.

Backlash: The infusion of forest bear essence temporarily slows the practitioner’s movement speed by 10% due to increased body mass for a few weeks.

Stage Three: To progress, the practitioner must hunt and slay 5 E-ranked stone bears, known for their near-impenetrable hides. They must craft a piece of armor from the bears’ hides and wear it while defeating three additional E-ranked creatures in combat.

Bonus: Gains resistance to physical attacks by 25% and fire-based attacks by 20%. Physical strength improves by 2.5x, and their durability increases further.

Backlash: The increased durability makes their reflexes slower, reducing agility in close combat situations.

Stage Four: The practitioner must locate and defeat 5 D-ranked bear-like creatures. They must battle these creatures without using weapons, relying solely on their physical strength.

Bonus: Physical strength and durability improve by 3x, and the practitioner gains the ability to enter a feral state, temporarily boosting their combat capabilities by 25%. Gains resistance to magical attacks below D-Rank by 25%.

Backlash: The feral state causes heightened aggression and reduced control, potentially leading to reckless decisions in battle.

Stage Five: The practitioner must track and defeat a C-ranked crimson bear, a rare and powerful creature with mastery over elemental fire and unmatched physical might. After defeating the bear, they must use its essence to craft a potion that must be consumed near an active flame.

Bonus: Gains the ability to perform a crimson charge, a powerful forward rush attack that can break through defenses up to D-Rank. Physical strength increases by 2x, and durability improves further. Gains minor fire resistance to all normal fire.

Backlash: The crimson bear’s essence occasionally causes surges of intense heat within the practitioner, leading to physical exhaustion and temporary dehydration.

Final Stage: To achieve mastery, the practitioner must locate and defeat a B-ranked Crimson Spirit Bear, a spectral being of immense size and power. They must absorb the spirit’s essence through a ritual performed at the peak of a mountain.

Bonus: Gains the ability to summon a spectral crimson bear companion capable of devastating physical and soul-level attacks. The companion also enhances the practitioner’s strength and durability further, providing resilience in combat. The practitioner gains an aura of intimidation, weakening enemies' resolve within a 50-meter radius.

Backlash: Maintaining the connection with the crimson bear spirit causes immense physical and mental fatigue after extended use, leaving the practitioner vulnerable when the spirit departs.
